How to Make Reservations: 

Step 1:  Call us at (989)866-2159 or email us with your choice(s) for dates. Note:  You must contact us before completing the reservation form, as availability is limited. When you contact us, we will let you know if the house is available for the dates of your visit.

Check the Calendar for available dates.

Step 2:  Please carefully read the Rental Agreement and Rental Confirmation.  Then sign the Rental Confirmation form to indicate that you have read and you agree to the terms of the Rental Agreement and Confirmation.

Step 3:  Fill out the reservation information on the Rental Confirmation form as completely as possible.

Step 4:  To confirm your reservation we require a 50% deposit of the Rental Rate, plus 100% of the Security Deposit and or pet fee, if any (see Rental Agreement). We cannot hold your reservation more than 10 days without your deposit. 

The BALANCE of your rental rate is PAYABLE IN FULL UPON YOUR ARRIVAL at Island Aerie by cash or check.

Step 5:  Make your check payable to ISLAND AERIE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT and send your check by U.S. Mail to owners at:

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

Vehicle Reservations on Ferry – As soon as you have a confirmed rental reservation, you need to make a round-trip reservation for your vehicle with the ferry company. Do not delay making this reservation – vehicle spaces on the ferries are extremely limited during the summer season due to high demand.

Medical Treatment Availability on Island – Although there is a clinic on Beaver Island where non-serious physical injuries or medical problems can be treated, any significant or serious medical problems will require treatment at mainland medical facilities. If a person experiences a medical emergency while on the island and they need to be immediately transported off-island, emergency medical transport flights can be obtained, but will be extremely costly. Cell Phone Signals – Some cell phones work on the island and some don’t. Don’t count on it! Bring a pre-paid calling card if you think you will need to make off-island calls.

Rental Cancellation Policy – Please be very certain that you want to rent the house when you make your reservation. If you cancel your reservation less than 120 days prior to the time period that you have reserved, we will not refund your reservation deposit. 

Island Aerie Rental Agreement – Like all rental houses and rental premises, there are certain rules and conditions regarding the use of Island Aerie. Those rules and conditions are described in detail in the “Island Aerie Rental Agreement.” The renter and all of the renter’s guests are expected to know and to abide by these rules and conditions.

No Smoking!  Smoking in the house is strictly forbidden. Butt containers are provided outside for persons who must smoke.

No Littering!  Smokers, please don’t flick your butts - use the outdoor butt containers that are provided for your convenience! Please don’t leave any other kind of garbage on the premises or anywhere else on Beaver Island except in approved garbage disposal containers.

Liability – Island Aerie is not liable or responsible for any injuries that may occur to renters or their guests.

Internet Availability – The house does not have internet access. However, there is internet access at computers at the local library, and also wireless internet signals there.

Long Distance Phone Usage – The house phone is to be used ONLY for local (on-island) calls. All off-island calls are long distance and the house phone may not be used to make off-island calls. Bring a pre-paid calling card if you think you will want to make off-island calls.

Garbage Disposal – Please do not generate any more garbage than absolutely necessary.  All household garbage must be disposed of in the official “green bags” – the Beaver Island garbage bags. One “green bag” will be provided for each rental group, but if the group fills that up, they will need to purchase additional “green bags” for themselves. Pets – Many people really love their dogs. The Terrys love dogs too. However, we all know that some dogs can be very messy, some are not house-trained, and some can be destructive. Also, some dogs have fleas. As you would expect, we do not want any dogs that are messy, non-housebroken, destructive, or flea-infested in the house! With that said, dogs who are perfectly clean and flea-free, with excellent manners and perfect habits, may be considered to be allowed to stay at Island Aerie, with the specific approval of the owners. If you are considering bringing your dog or other pet along with you for your stay at Island Aerie, please call or contact us to tell us why your dog will not cause us any concern when it stays at Island Aerie. Note that a fee will be required if pets are approved to stay at the house.
